Interesting facts about KGF: Chapter 2!

KGF: Chapter 1 remains a favorite topic for Yash’s fans because this film went extraordinarily well in everything from acting to cinematography to songs and whatnot. Prashanth Neel directed the film, and Vijay Kiragandur produced it under Hombale Films. The cast of this film includes Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, and Sanjay Dutt. With a budget of 100 crores, KGF earns the title of the costliest Kannada film, just like its first part.

The film is released on April 14, 2022, in Kannada and Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu languages.

Despite Srinidhi Shetty becoming a shining star after the release of KGF Chapter 1, she rejected seven films to work for the second part of KGF: Chapter 2.
Sanjay Dutt, known for playing the lead role of the villain Adeera, compared his character with “Thanos” in the Hollywood Avengers series. Both of them portray strong characters with scary looks and makeup. The trailer didn’t reveal the complete look of Adheera, he carries a sword with a battle armor look and Viking inspired hairdo in the clip.
Raveena Tandon plays the role of Prime Minister “Ramika Sen” in the film. It seems like a complicated character to play for the actress. However, she plays a significant role in Rocky’s dominance over the gold industry in the film.
After he completed his parts for the film, Sanjay was diagnosed with lung cancer. Due to this, he had to go to the US for the treatment in August 2020.

Legal issues faced by Team

In August 2019, the President of the KGF’s National Citizens Party, N Srinivas, filed a petition against the makers of KGF: Chapter 2. It is said that the film tries to destroy nature by shooting in the protected regions of the cyanide mound. After winning the court stay order, the team returned to the area for shooting purposes.
The filmmakers received a notice from the Karnataka State Anti-Tobacco cell. It stated the non-display of the anti-smoking warning message in the scenes that involve Yash smoking. The filmmakers are required to display such warning messages as per the law.

Shooting of KGF

Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mysore, and Kolar featured in the shooting of KGF: Chapter 2. Some of the beautiful places used for shooting were Lalita Mahal Palace, Cyanide Hills in Kolar Gold Fields, Ramoji Film City, and Taj Falaknuma Palace.
In February 2020, a video went viral regarding a behind-the-scenes clip of Yash shooting on the Infosys campus in Mysore.

Rights of KGF

Ravi Basrur composed the music for this film. T-Series and Lahari Music own the music rights for KGF: Chapter 2.
Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and AA Films presented the film in North India.
Zee Media acquired the satellite rights for Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil versions.
As a part of its marketing strategy, a fictional newspaper named KGF Times launched from the 4th to the 10th of January, 2021.

Movie Teaser

Initially, the teaser of KGF: Chapter 2 was scheduled to release on January 8, 2021, on Yash’s birthday. But due to leakage of a few cuts from the teaser, it had to release on January 7, 2021.
As a result, the teaser came out in a single language featuring English dialogues instead of five different languages. It became the most liked and most viewed teaser, with 72 million views in 24 hours.
The teaser talks about a promise that will be kept, and the promise is by Rocky Bhai to his dying mother. He promised while he was a kid to his mother that he would never remain in poverty and would become a rich person.

Movie Trailer

KGF: Chapter 2’s official trailer launched on March 27, 2022. It became the most-watched Indian trailer within 24 hours of its launch. The trailer generated more than 109 million views across five different languages.
During the trailer launch, Prashant Neel conveyed to the audience that actor Yash himself wrote all the marvelous dialogues of Rocky Bhai. This doubled the excitement level for the fans eagerly waiting for the launch of this film.
The renowned director-producer Karan Johar organized the launch of chapter 2’s trailer event. He announced KGF’s entry into the metaverse, named KGF verse.

Songs of KGF movies

The first song, “Toofan,” from this film, launched on March 21, 2022. The song showcases the character of the protagonist Rocky Bhai.
The song went viral within a few hours of its launch, full of energy. The intense beats and unbeatable rhythm of this song indeed created a nervous excitement in the hearts and minds of its fans.
The song was released in five different languages. It became India’s most viewed lyrical video, with more than 26 million views in less than a day. It earned more than 2 million likes in all five videos together.

The film ended with a slight tease of Chapter 3. After watching the movie, how can we contain the excitement left with the first and second chapters and continue with the next chapter’s release?
