Dragon Quest Builders 2

Dragon Quest Builders 2 at E3 2019

I enjoy relaxing sandbox games every now and then. It is nice to have something to play that isn’t stressful and that you can’t really mess up. I never played the first Dragon Quest Builders game, and, admittedly, I have never even played Minecraft. However, Dragon Quest Builders 2 might be something I could see myself playing.

The game consists of mastering different crafting skills, exploring ruins and oceans, battling monsters, growing crops, and playing with friends online. The game has both a single player campaign and a multiplayer building mode.

I have never played any Dragon Quest game, but I have been interested in them. The games are published by Square Enix, and I like several Square Enix games. Additionally, the artist is the same artist that works on the Dragon Ball series, which I love. This was what first drew my attention to Dragon Quest; I thought the games were some kind of Dragon Ball Z spinoff series. I quickly realized they were not related to Dragon Ball Z. Furthermore, Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2 are spinoffs of the main Dragon Quest games. If I play Dragon Quest Builders 2, I do not expect to learn what the main series games are like. Regardless, I might check it out when I need a nice sandbox game.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 released in 2018 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It will be releasing in North America and Europe on July 12, 2019, for the same consoles. Visit the official Dragon Quest Builders 2 website.
